Look, we all made it through another day of IMBC, congrats guys and girls! Lets keep this thing going for a while, it gives me something to do!
OK, so I thought that today’s history class would provide at least something to write about on here, and the skanks in there did not disappoint . For the first 3 hours of class all was more or less quiet and I was beginning to wonder if the idiots’ supply of Doral cigarettes and Bubba Cola had beaten their brain into submission and maybe I wouldn’t have my daily fix of unintelligent blathering about which to write. Then we happened across the part of the lecture for today in which Mr. Vogler spoke a bit about the “Beats”, you know the Beats right? Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs, etc… Anyway, when he mentioned this talented group of writers and poets, this bastion of human intelligence in the back of the class pipes up with, “The Beats, ain’t that something you grow in yer garden?” I shit you not , this was not said in a sarcastic tone of voice, nor did it sound like she was trying to make a joke of any kind, she was being REAL in her stupidity. The only thing that keeps me attending class with these moron is knowing that next November, my wife and I will graduate, and find great jobs and get the fuck out of this part of the country.
On to today’s topic, What are my favorite mainstream flicks? OK, so Im going to have to geek out a bit and say that the original Star Wars (IV-VI) are my favorite movies. I am a child of the 80’s and being such couldn’t escape Star Wars even if I tried. The storylines in those movies were great and the special effects were amazing for their time. Now on a similar subject, the prequels sucked ass and Jar Jar Binks makes me want to toss my cookies every time I see him.
