Due to life and a pounding headache, I respectfully withdraw from IMBC, maybe next time.
WOW, I’m cutting it close tonight. I almost forgot to post today, and that would have been a very bad thing. I’Ve made it this far, I would hate to lose out, just because I had a mindfart and forgot to write at least 300 simple little words.
Last night, Angela and I had a little one on one GURPS game. It was the first time she had ever ran any type of RPG, much less GURPS. She decided to go with a cyberpunk world, to which I am grateful I love the genre. I hav3e to say, my baby did a hell of a job running the game and her story telling is top notch, I’m proud of her.
On to the ToTD: Getting older. Today is April 30, 2008, that means I have roughly 26 more days left in my 20’s, and Im scared bat shit insane about it. I mean 30 is a big number. I guess I won’t be able to trust myself after the 26th of may, at least that’s what the Hippies said in the 60’s, you know, you can’t trust anyone over the age of 30. But all in all I think getting older is a little fun. Even though I look all of 12, or so says my wife, I can buy beer and cigs and have to show my ID, most times the clerk is astonished that I am the age that I am, it gets funny to see them ask me for my ID and then say,”I am sorry sir, I didn’t realize you were that old.” To which I give them the “Hurt” look and say, “Hey I’m not that old yet sonny” It’s a gas I tell ya.
Tomorrow is a school day, so I should have some interesting stories to share with you, mostly about the DANK HOLES that walk in the doors everyday and pretend to learn.

And IMBC begat…..
Hello again internets. So, at the risk of being boring, I have to say that today has been a rather plain and vanilla type of day. We were off from school and decided to chill at home all day. Not much to say, eh? So… I think I’ll just BS my way through a quick 300 words and hope for the best.
I just don’t get people. My wife and I had to take off from our Monday History class last week, so we missed a test and the lecture. Sunday night, we reviewed the chapter that we needed to take a make up test on and read through the chapter that this weeks test was on. We knew the chapter well by the time we got through and decided to take this weeks test as well as last weeks.
We got to school yesterday and took both test, finishing up on them before the first person in class had finished this weeks exam. Class went on and during our lunch break Mr. Vogler graded all of our exams. As he handed them back to us a lot of the idiots in the class asked if we could just drop this weeks test and go on. Vogler said it wouldn’t be fair, because two people aced the exam. When we got ours back we were the ones who had aced the test as well as acing the exam from last week. I just don’t understand how these people function in everyday life, it isn’t that hard to study for fucks sake.
On to the ToTD: Cubes. Cubes are a perfect shape in my opinion. 6 sides of four sides each. What can you say about cubes other than they can hold a lot of stuff and maybe if you put a crank on the side, then you can turn the crank and out pops a Jack. Yep cubes are a great shape all right and I wouldn’t trade them in for a silly old sphere.
OK, I know that today’s post sucked, but believe it or not, I’m too damn relaxed to think very hard lol.

After the storm had passed, we all went outside to look at the IMBC stretching across the sky.
So, this is going to be my most geek post yet. I have decided to expound the virtues of a few of the GI Joe ladies and come to a conclusion about which is the hottest. For the purposes of this discussion I shall be focusing on the following ladies: Scarlett, Lady Jay, Covergirl, and The Baroness,. I am going to judge on three categories: Looks, Sex appeal and Voice in the cartoons.
First up is Scarlett.
Scarlett is a sexy little southern belle in the GI Joe universe. She gets a 8 on looks, mainly due to her long red hair and cute little nose. Sex appeal comes in at a 6, she is more straight laced than I would like and I think this could be a big drawback when it comes to the sex factor. The Voice gets a 8, there is nothing like a southern drawl to get a mans blood pumping in the right direction. Overall Scarlett gets a 22/30.
Next is Lady Jay.
Looks come in at a 6, I can’t stand super short hair on a woman, but that’s just me. Sex appeal is an easy 8, She has the type of attitude that could put her in charge in the bedroom and that can be a plus. The Voice is a 6, flat nodescript, not very appealing over all. Lady Jay gets a 20/30

y gets an 8 on looks, I mean her name is Covergirl after all. Sex appeal is a 4, I don’t dig dumb chicks and she is probably as dumb in the bedroom as she appears to be in everyday life, voice is a 7, she purrs when she talks. Overall a 19/30
And last, but not least The Baroness
Ahh, she gets a 9 for looks, with her long black hair and those uber sexy glasses, not to mention the outfits she wears MEOW! Sex appeal has to be a 10, she is an evil woman with a wicked sense of style, so I bet she would be hot in the old sack. The voice gets a 10 as well, that eastern European accent makes most males melt on first hearing it. Over all a 29/30
And the winner is THE BARONESS!! Yep if they were real and I was single, that’s the Joe girl I would most like to be with, how geeky is that lol!
Now on to the ToTD:Hair. I love hair, Long Grow it, Long show it. I used to have longer hair in High school, came down to about my chin and it was a platinum color in some lights and a dark blond in others. I miss my long hair, but I am in the real world now and that hair just wouldn’t cut it. My wife has beautiful hair and I could run my hands through it all day and never get bored.

Today was a laundry day, so not much to report from the personal front. So, I think I’ll just go onto the Topic of The Day.
Todays ToTD is: Greatness. To me someone who possesses greatness doesn’t have to be famous, or wealthy, although those things sometimes make it easier to achieve greatness. No, greatness to me is someone who is true to themselves and to others. I look around and I see great people every day, whether it’s a single mother laughing with her children, or an old man giving his wife a kiss on the cheek. Greatness comes from inside, not from the actions you do when people are looking, but from the actions you do from your own heart, because you know it’s the right thing to do.
The single person who holds these virtues above all others to me is my wife. I’m not trying to sound mushy here, but she doesn’t have it easy. With two kids and a bi-polar husband to deal with, it can’t be easy to smile and get through the day, much less make things easy on those around her. I love her with all my heart and it’s because of her greatness that I am attending school again and making plans for our future. She is the epitome of greatness to me.
So, onto something that I think is kind of cool. Angela, my wife, has decided to run a GURPS campaign with me as the player. She has never ran any RPG and I think it’s cool that she wants to try this. She has run a few ideas past me and I think that they are all great. She will be running a Cyberpunk campaign with some really neat twist and turns in it. I only had the 3rd edition source books available, but she through her resourcefulness has found all of the 3rd edition books in eBook format and is torrenting them as I write this. I can’t wait to play this with her.

Akk, I hate having allergies again, it makes me fell all of 11 years old again, with the runny nose and raspy voice from coughing all the damn time. I cant wait until these damnable flowers and trees stop blooming. Where is my WINTER????
So, because of these allergies I have spent most of the day inside, while the family went to the park to play. I just couldn’t face the outdoors knowing that it would make me sneeze that much harder and cough that much louder. The good thing about staying in without the fam is that I got a chance to watch GI Joe:the Movie, not the one slated to come out in 2009, but the original animated one from way back in 1987. I haven’t watched it in some time and just realized that the opening is different from the original show.

OK, on to the ToTD (Topic of the Day): Beverages. OK, being who I am and what I am, I love two beverages above all others, Coffee and Beer. I woke up today without a ground of coffee in the house and I had no way of getting any until around 4:30pm, needless to say I was getting a little agitated. I just cannot function without at least 18 cups of coffee a day. I know that sounds a bit excessive, but hey you are not me, so back the fuck off lol. As for beer, Most guys would say that beer and alcohol in general has ruined their marriage, I can honestly say that on a few occasions, a case or so has saved my marriage. My wife and I have a few favorite beers, Fosters, Blue Moon, and most of all GUNIESS. However, let not an ounce of American pilsner into our midst as we are likely to pour it on the ground and laugh at you pathetic ass, so that mean NO BUDWIESER damn it.

The cat poked his head around the corner, expecting a mouse, when to his surprise he say IMBC staring back at him with a frying pan in its hand.
I have to say something, just to get it off of my chest and out of my head. I made a BIG mistake this morning and it almost cost me everything. You see I have a real problem with keeping my mouth closed when Im angry, and my wife and I were arguing this morning and I said some things that I shouldn’t have and for that I am very very sorry.
OK, now that that’s out of the way, its on to the IMBC ToTD: Whats the scariest thing I have ever seen? OK Im going to go with the time I think I saw a ghost. I was 16 at the time and working at a Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken house in the next town. It was after closing one night and I was driving home, half asleep and worried about my car, which had started showing signs of over heating on my way to work that day. I enter a stretch of road that went past an old abandoned house when my car DID over heat. I pulled over next to the house to put some water in the car. When I got out of the car I saw movement over toward the house, I looked over and something the size and shape of a child went behind the building. Thinking that maybe it was a kid who was lost I went over to the rear of the house myself calling out to the child that I was there to help and to not be afraid. When I reached the rear of the house the child was there and she was glowing in a faint light and floating about 3 feet off of the ground. I cursed rather loudly and turned and ran like hell jumped in my car and pulled out. Now the strange thing is this , my car maintained a normal temp all the way home and never overheated again.

So, today was another CACK day and not a whole lot happened, we had an EXCEL test in COMP151 and that took most of the class, so the idiots didn’t have much time to prove how few brain cells they have. However, I have to say that I am surprised at how little they knew about Excel. My Wife and I had missed both classes on the program and we got a 103 and 105 respectively, and these idiots, having attended both classes hovered around the 60 - 70% range. It’s almost like they really don’t get the whole concept of computers and what they can do, what a bunch of no brain tarts!
Now On to the ToTD: Hugs. I love hugs, there I said it and if that makes me less of a man, so be it! When my wife gives me a hug, I know everything is going to be OK and that she really loves me. When my kids hug me, I feel like the rain has stopped and the sun is shining, no matter how I was feeling before. Hugs are a great way to show that you care and that the person being hugged is the one you are focused on at that moment.
I really feel like crap today, and I am just trying to bang out my 300 words, so as not to go down in the IMBC.
Today is supposed to be the BIG PATCH day for Team Fortress 2, I can’t wait until the new map and the new Medic achievements are in my grubby little hands, although this will also mean that they are in the hands of all the wannbes and N00Bs out there as well, which is never a good thing.

So, today was spent looking for a daycare for Declan. We managed to find a great on called Madison Montessori on our first try. It subscribes to the Montessori school of thought when it comes to children, which is basically that children learn through doing and that the educator should gently guide them. More can be found in the WIKI entry here. We are super excited for Declan and both of us think that this will be good for him.
I just found out that Joost has many, many episodes of GI Joe and Transformers on their Joost player. I am super stoked and as soon as I finish up here I am going to go re live my childhood for an hour or so and catch some of the episodes.
So the ToTD is My favorite quote from a movie. I have a lot of favorite quotes form many different movies. I mean for fucks sake I am a movie hound anyway, so narrowing it down to just one is going to be a tad on the hard side. I would have to say that If I had to narrow it down to 2 I would go with Sam Jacksons “Say What again Mother Fucker” from Pulp Fiction, or from Tombstone, Val Kilmer’s, ” I’m your huckleberry” That is a great line and when you use it in everyday speech you get some strange looks, which is always fun.
So, with Declan’s daycare situation taken care of we are going to be able to continue our education and CACK, and tomorrow is a school day so I have no doubt that tomorrows blog will be filled to the brim with idiotic quotes from my classmates and my own angry commentary. Until then

IMBC Mother Fucker, do you speak it ?!?!?!?!
OK, Here’s the deal, I most likely will not be home by the 12:00am deadline, so I’m posting a bit early. Not much to say this early in the day, so I guess I’ll have to BS my way through it. Or maybe I could just give out a quick hint for TF2, that should take up some space.
OK, anytime you are playing a Pyro on Team Fortress 2, don’t forget that you can crouch and aim up to fire your flamethrower to the heavens. This comes in really handy on maps like Gravel Pit, where the attacking team comes through those hig spots to get to bases A and B, just crouch in front of one of the tunnels and have one of your teammates tell you when the enemy is coming out of the tunnel and unleash hell on their Red asses.
Also don’t underestimate the power of an uber charged pyro, with a good medic running the Uber on you, you can run into the enemy area and cause all kinds of havoc and the best part is if you get killed after the uber runs out, chances are that many of the enemy is on fire and some will die before they can put out the flames.
OK One more hint about pyros and then Ill switch to the ToTD. When running into a medic and another toon trying to get uber, always try to go around the non medic toon and get to the medic. Usualy, the medic will either abck off and break the soon to be uber or he will catch fire and be ashes in no time.
On to the ToTD: My feelings on Hot dogs. I Love Hot dogs as long as they are cooked properly and not the yucky boiled Way too much atrocities that my Mom used to cook. My favorite way to eat a Hot Dog is in a corn dog however, I just can’t seem to get enough of those cornbread wrapped red neck delicacies, especially with some spicy brown mustard to dip the Corn Dog into.
